It is the policy of ACE Group not to accept registrations without a Service Certificate.
The reasoning in not to prove Sire and Dam since a DNA test will do that for us.
- We have aligned with Stallion owners and Semen Agents to make sure that their policy of one foal per dose is adhered to. There are some breeders who split doses and thereby are not able to get a second Service Certificate by doing this.
- Another reason is that there could be a conflict for monies still owing or some other reason, and the Stallion owner/Agent is deliberately withholding the Service Certificate until such conflict is rectified.
- If the horse to be registered is an adult then the Service Certificate serves as proof of age of the horse.
