1. Westphalia Mare Studbook Application

   Just two reasons for rejection of Mare Studbook Application with Westphalia Society (This mare was an embryo transfer):
   – Embryo transfer is generally permitted only for mares that are already registered as a broodmare
   – Foals resulting from the breeding of mares under two years of age are not registered by our association for ethical reasons

2. Video Requirements for Mare Studbook Application

   For a mare to be entered into the Mare Studbook with Westphalia Society where an assessment is not possible, a video is acceptable.
   The requirements are that the mare must be filmed standing and walking on firm ground from all sides, as well as trotting on soft ground (sand).

3. Naming a foal with Westphalia

   The name can be used in terms of length: up to 40 letters are possible.

4. Westphalia Registration requirements

   Both parents of the foal must be Licensed and registered in the main section of a Studbook.  A DNA Parentage test must show results to both parents.
