- Westphalia Mare Studbook Application
Just two reasons for rejection of Mare Studbook Application with Westphalia Society (This mare was an embryo transfer):
– Embryo transfer is generally permitted only for mares that are already registered as a broodmare
– Foals resulting from the breeding of mares under two years of age are not registered by our association for ethical reasons - Video Requirements for Mare Studbook Application
For a mare to be entered into the Mare Studbook with Westphalia Society where an assessment is not possible, a video is acceptable.
The requirements are that the mare must be filmed standing and walking on firm ground from all sides, as well as trotting on soft ground (sand). - Naming a foal with Westphalia
The name can be used in terms of length: up to 40 letters are possible.
- Westphalia Registration requirements
Both parents of the foal must be Licensed and registered in the main section of a Studbook. A DNA Parentage test must show results to both parents.
