In order to fill in the details correctly, an Artificial Insemination form must be completed by the Vet or AI Technician who performed the insemination, and this completed form is sent to the Agent or owner of the semen/straws.
This is an example of an ACE Group Inc. Service Certificate correctly filled out by the Agent who sold the frozen semen.
Service Certificates Guide
Multiple Stallion Coverage
When a mare has been covered by two different stallions in the same season, two Service Certificates must be submitted. DNA testing will be required to confirm paternity.
Artificial Insemination Requirements
For mares inseminated using transported or frozen semen, you'll need:
- A Service Certificate
- An Artificial Insemination (AI) Form completed by the attending veterinary surgeon or technician
Process Flow
The completed AI Form should be returned to the Stallion/Semen owner, who will then complete the Service Certificate with the verified information.
Semen dealers must complete their section of the AI Form and send it along with the semen to the veterinary surgeon for completion.
Service Certificate Booklets
Owners of financially registered stallions can purchase Service Certificate Booklets from ACE Group. These triplicate forms must be completed for every service:
- White copy - Submit to ACE Group
- Pink copy - Provide to mare owner
- Yellow copy - Retain in booklet
Deadline: All certificates must be lodged with ACE Group by April 30th each year.
